Fall 2026 is shaping up to be a busy anime season, with returning favorites alongside new adaptations and original series. Crunchyroll's September 15 lineup announcement highlights major returning shows such as Black Clover Season 2 and The Apothecary Diaries Season 3, plus new titles including Firefly Wedding and Overgeared.
Black Clover Season 2
Black Clover Season 2 is one of the headline returns. Crunchyroll lists a subbed premiere for October 3, with the exact airtime subject to confirmation. The return gives fans another major chapter of Asta's journey after a long wait for the anime to resume.
The Apothecary Diaries Season 3
The popular mystery series The Apothecary Diaries is also part of the new fall lineup. Its mix of palace intrigue, medicine, deduction and character drama has made it one of the season's most closely watched returning titles.
New Anime Arrivals
Alongside established franchises, Crunchyroll is bringing brand-new series to the fall schedule. Firefly Wedding and Overgeared are among the new entries, while several other series will receive both subbed and dubbed availability.
Why This Season Matters
The interesting part of Fall 2026 is the balance between established brands and fresh stories. That makes the schedule useful for both longtime anime fans and viewers looking for something new. Release times and regional availability can still change, so readers should verify final schedules on their local services.
What to Watch First
A simple starting point is to follow the returning series you already know, then sample one or two new titles during their first episodes. With multiple dubs announced, international viewers also have more flexibility when choosing how to watch.
