Witch on the Holy Night is heading to theaters worldwide in January 2027. Crunchyroll announced the film's international release as part of its September 2026 news slate, putting the Type-Moon adaptation among the major anime movies to watch beyond 2026.
What Is the Movie?
The film adapts Witch on the Holy Night, a story connected to the wider Type-Moon universe. Its setting, supernatural conflicts and character-driven storytelling give the project a different flavor from conventional seasonal anime series.
Why the Announcement Matters
A worldwide theatrical rollout gives the movie a broader international audience than a limited regional release. Fans who follow Type-Moon projects can also expect interest to grow as additional trailers, local-language details and ticket information arrive.
What to Watch for Next
The key updates to track are the final theatrical dates by territory, trailer footage, voice-cast announcements and ticket-sale timing. Release information can vary by country, so local listings should be checked when ticketing opens.
